The sacred and the profane exist as two sides of the same coin.  Explore this tantalizing dichotomy with the ladies of Sinner Saint Burlesque and discover just how tempting it is when the wanton and the worshipful collide.  Join as Sinner Saint Burlesque returns to the Brickhouse with The Scared and The Profane, where good is irreverent and evil is irrelevant.  Perhaps you will schmooze with a sinister Santa, chase an unchaste cheerleader, become enlightened by an excitable evangelist, or get a fix from a feigning fan dancer.

Sinner Saint Burlesque: Internationally performing and teaching theatrical striptease and dance company.  Sinner Saint Burlesque was first featured at the Brickhouse in the highly acclaimed Electric Burlesque show in March 2011.  This stellar troupe hails from Seattle, Washington, a hot-spot of Burlesque today AND in the Golden Era of Burlesque.  With a tongue-in-cheek take on their American sensibilities and influences, their performances channel the aesthetic of old world beauty and glamour, fused with modern theatre and culture to create titillating and uplifting cabaret entertainment.

Sinner Saint Burlesque is the longest continually running weekly Burlesque show in Seattle, WA.  Since 2006, the troupe has upheld the neo-burlesque tradition with grace and professionalism in their hometown revue.  Comprised of 5 regular members and a rotating host, the troupe has performed around the US and abroad regularly for the last 2 years.  The Brickhouse run will feature the talents of Evilyn Sin Claire, Polly Wood, Jesse Belle-Jones and Lady Tatas, with London comperes Jayde Adams and Christine Lockhart, and our beloved former host Nicole Lucas returning for the final week of our run!

This night takes us back to the old school variety night, with everything from tits and tease to rip roaring comedy and satrical music, no thirst will be left unquenched.
With our favourite showgirl Vicious Delicious taking the helm she promises to start your weekend off with a bang. Ladies your heart rate will be sent racing by her all male cast including the sensational comedy stylings of Fred Bear, the jaw dropping, dazzling muscles…..ah hmm….heights of aerialist Will Davis and the too hot to handle Jonny Electrolux. With more special guests to be making an appearance this is a Brickhouse night not to be missed.

Legends of past and present combine in a culmination of cabaret, song, aerial and dance, lifting Brick Lane into a frenzy of nostalgic celebration! Be enthralled by tributes to the likes of our beloved Freddie Mercury, the greatly missed Amy Winehouse, the mysteriously enigmatic Marilyn Monroe, and even the ferocious fire starter that is Keith from the Prodigy. All of these Legends will grace the Brickhouse stage in their various forms with a plethora of acts to set the night alight. See below for featured performers…

Laura Jane Butler 

Our compere for the show will be the fabulous Laura Jane Butler. Laura Jane is the UK’s most authentic Amy Winehouse Tribute and provides a fitting tribute to the tragic star. Laura captures all that was great about Amy’s style, attitude, quirky look and deep raspy soulful voice. She too sounds like a New York black singer, but just like Amy, Laura is a cheeky London born girl and without fail entertains and makes people believe they really have had a great night with Amy Winehouse and they always leave wanting more.

Johnny Electrolux

Johnny Electrolux is a highly experienced and hilarious street artist, actor, circus performer and clown. He performs theatre and cabaret and combines skills of circus, magic and comedy.

Luna Rosa

Distinctive in her style, Luna Rosa is the epitome of classic exotica, a beautiful reincarnation of performers of yester-year, who takes the audience to another world with seductive charm and statuesque elegance. Dedicated to the art of nostalgia, Luna performs under the guise of characters from nocturnal Cairo, to the music halls of old Havana. From scenes of old Hollywood glamour, to otherworldly lands of imagination.

Marcos

Marcos is a new aerial performer who mixes acrobatics skills with clown and comedy as a celebrity look alike. He has been trained at circus schools in Barcelona and London.

About Women’s Day:

International Women’s Day (IWD) is marked on March 8 every year. It is a major day of global celebration for the economic, political and social achievements of women.

Started as a Socialist political event, the holiday blended in the culture of many countries (primarily Russia and the countries of former Soviet bloc). In some celebrations, the day lost its political flavour, and became simply an occasion for men to express their love to the women around them in a way somewhat similar to Mother’s Day and St Valentine’s Day mixed together

About Ben and Caroline…

Ben Cole is a ‘positive film’ maker. He is known for many innovative films including the Grammy nominated ‘One Giant Leap’ to the BIFA award winning ‘The Future Is Unwritten’ and many other dramas and documentaries that have changed the shape of spiritual film making. His latest film ‘R-Evolution’ was produced in 2011 on the evolution of consciousness. He has filmed many of the worlds Gurus from Ram Das to Sai Baba, attending many of the worlds most acclaimed workshops and indigenous ceremonies.
Caroline Carey is the creator of Alchemy in Movement, a structure for shamanic/spiritual study, coaching and healing. She is a mother, a grandmother and a shamanic/spiritual healer and guide. She has honed her skills with trainings and participation with the influences of Gabrielle Roth, Ya’Acov and Susannah Darling Khan, The Sacred Trust, Bill Plotkin, Richard Bandler, Suprapto Suryodarmo and the Kogi’s. Her work is crafted from her own life’s journey and experience’s, a lifetimes dedication to her spiritual practice and many years of training’s and study. Her first book ‘Ms’Guided Angel’ was published in 2010.
