The Brickhouse

The Brickhouse is a fine dining restaurant with a twist. Set over three levels the restaurant offers two styles of dining; a la carte and a six course grazing menu.

We offer a modern European menu that will change with the seasons, skilfully put together by Matt Reuther.

Our aim is not only to stimulate your taste buds but also provide an atmosphere where you can enjoy yourself all evening. DJ's, VJ's and live acts will be performing throughout the week to coincide with your dining experience.

If you have any questions please contact the General Manager Adam Wilson via email:

The remarkable art and sculptures at The Brickhouse are the work of Bindi Harris and Sandra Beccarelli and are all for sale.

We will be exhibiting other brilliant artists throughout the coming year.

Amy G

Tuesday 6th May 2008 - Friday 9th May 2008

Amy G is an effervescent vision of bumbling beauty. The showgirl on rollerskates has trouble with everything from the top of her voice to the tip of her tailfeathers. Somehow, from comic chaoes emerges an original song and dance unlike anything you've ever seen: includes a tap dance on rollerskates, a scat break, opera licks, roller disco and as many glasses of champagne from the audience as possible.

Schwamp

Saturday 10th May 2008

Hailing from the muddy bed of the Mighty Mississippi come the dark, rich sounds of Schwamp, evoking a yesteryear of itinerant blues and folk travellers. A wanderlust will undoubtedly be inspired from the sultry and gravel laden textures of the chronicling of many a journey and adventure, the renderings of loss, joys, observations and witticisms from the road and the stoical acceptance of the downtrodden and marginalised. Soothe the troubled soul with the cathartic sounds of Delta-driven smoked whiskey blues, and raise hell with the rollickin' boys of Schwamp. Featuring Paddy P, songsmith and guitarist of local legend and Sean MacGloin, displaced Bronxite, on fiddle and harmonicas (previously known to The Brickhouse patrons as a member of "Ta Mere").

Empress Stah

Wednesday 4th June 2008 - Saturday 7th June 2008

Empress Stah is appearing exclusively at The Brickhouse with nightly performances of ‘A GOLD STAR’ – Literally gilded head to toe in Gold Glitter & ‘LOVE TO LOVE YOU’ – a sensual, aerial homage to disco. Stah’s work as a ‘Neo Burlesque’ starlet picks up where tassel twirling and fan dancing leaves off. Not for the faint hearted, ‘neo’ or ‘new’ burlesque, is about taking the art form and making it relevant for the 21st century. There is no retro styling here, neo burlesque confronts contemporary life in a way that is at times humorous, blasphemous, pornographic, light hearted, challenging, camp, politically incorrect and above all entertaining. During her glittering 10 year career, Stah has graced stages from London to New York, Tokyo, Moscow and Sydney performing alongside big names such as Cirque Du Soliel and Dita Von Teese, with clients including Smirnoff, Harvey Nichols and Damien Hirst while maintaining her connection to the underground by touring with notorious London clubs, Torture Garden and Lost Vagueness. www.EmpressStah.com www.YouTube.com/EmpressStah www.Myspace.com/Empress_Stah
